Reviews
Exceptional dining experience! Cafe Fiore hit on every metric: the service, prices, portions, atmosphere and the food were incredibly good. My gf had the lasagna and I had the eggplant fiore. We also ordered the fried calamari. And oh…those complimentary garlic knots were fantastic! As a foodie, I left nearly speechless! We will definitely be back! 10/10!
At the urging of my mother, we just went to Cafe Fiore for ladies' night.
To begin with, we wanted to dine Alfresco and chose a table outside. We were brought water right away as well as two menus. There was no mention that it was ladies' night, and we had to determine that their happy hour menu is, in fact, their ladies' night menu as well. We both decided on one of their $6 martinis. I ordered the French martini, and my mother ordered the Fiore cosmo. Both of them were well prepared, meaning they were not too weak or too strong. Spot on with their measurements.
We were then brought salad. This was a welcomed addition as their menu does not indicate that happy hour/ladles' night menu also includes salad with their entries. The thing that stumped us was there were two of us, yet we were brought three salads. After looking at each other puzzled, we decided that it didn't make sense to have it go to waste and split the additional salad between ourselves.
Garlic knots- my mom had been raving about how good these were, which is a pretty big deal considering she is not a person who loves bread. The garlic knots are made fresh, and were served warm. They were quite tasty. Only one thing I would improve and that would be to serve a side of chimichurri to dip it in. However, that was not a deal breaker as not all places serve garlic knots that way. With that being said, I was impressed with their flavor.
Our entrees were brought out relatively soon. I ordered the chicken Fiore, and my mother ordered the shrimp scampi. She said the scampi was good, but wished she had ordered the chicken Fiore instead, which she normally does. The chicken Fiore was large in portion size and included pappardelle underneath. The only downside of my meal was the pappardelle. It felt like it had been overcooked or sitting there under a heater until my mom's meal was ready as the pasta was stuck together. The chicken was pounded out thin and was tender. Not dry at all. The vodka sauce on it was your typical vodka sauce.
We were asked if we wanted dessert and were told the dessert options. There was no specific menu to look at, nor any prices indicated. By that point, we had been full since the portions are large. We decided to forgo dessert and order another round of cocktails. Once again, the martinis were spot on and consistent.
One piece of advice to the restaurant that I would give would be for trying to improve inconsistencies in service. I noticed that many people do work there and they have runners to bring out salads or bread as well as runners who bring water. After being there for almost 2 hours, no one returned to refill water in our cups. We had only one cup of water the entire time we were there, and even our waitress did not ask if we needed any more or noticed that our cups had been empty. Our waitress probably had the most room for growth in terms of her service. At some points, she seemed irritated or overwhelmed with the number of tables that she had to serve, which was roughly three or four. She tended to be slower in her service compared to other people. However, her service was not problematic enough that I would not return here. You really do get a lot of value for your money. If anything, I would absolutely return with my girlfriends for happy hour cocktails considering their price point and quality are fantastic.
I haven't written a review of a place in such a long time because normally I have a just OK experience. After eating at Cafe Fiore, I knew I just HAD to leave a review because the whole experience was amazing! Food and drinks were so good and everything came out quickly. Overall, we never had to ask for anything because they gave us EVERYTHING. Already looking forward to going back!
Ladies night at Cafe Fiore is always a hit! Every Tuesdays, Cafe Fiore has $6 cocktails/wine with amazingly priced apps and entrees. We enjoyed their French Martini, Montepulciano wine, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, house salad with gorgonzola, clam linguini and of course, chicken Fiore are just some of our faves. So good!
My fiancé and I got takeout here last night and we were so disappointed. The “garlic” knots didn’t have a single piece of garlic at all. It was almost as if they just tossed them in a ton of oil and cheese. I got the chicken piccata and he got the chicken parm. I don’t know how else to explain the dish other than flavorless. Something was just really missing. We also ordered calamari and it was honestly the worst order of calamari I’ve ever had. It was extremely chewy and tough. I’ve included a picture showing me pulling it and it’s still not coming apart. It felt like I was chewing on rubber bands. I really hope that my review can help the restaurant to change something. We were super excited to try this place and we were left hungry and disappointed. Unfortunately I would not recommend going here. The only reason why I’m giving two stars is because Italian restaurants aren’t typically open on Monday’s.
Met a friend for a multi-years overdue catch-up on a Friday evening. We were seated in the bar. Initially seemed fine, but then "entertainment" arrived in the form of a singer who was like listening to bad karaoke and who periodically got the mic too close to something emitting a God-awful squeal. That, coupled with terrible acoustics in the room made it very difficult to have a conversation. At times we could barely hear each other. Beyond that, we were mostly ignored by our waiter. To the point where a woman, who was likely a manager or host staff, finally noticed menus still on the table alongside our long empty drink glasses and appetizer plates and came over to ask if we'd like to order. On the positive side, the food was wonderful, the drinks were lovely. I would give it another try for sure, but would absolutely refuse to be seated in the bar area.
Very nice dining experience. We were seated inside. No masks required, even while walking to table, bathroom, etc. Waitstaff was attentive and meals came out fairly quickly. Although the restaurant quickly filled up with patrons, we were able to have a nice conversation without feeling rushed.
We came here for lunch and the food and service was wonderful. I’ve lived in Italy for ten years and work as a chef, so I’m picky about Italian food. The garlic knots were delicious - we had the zuppa di pesce, eggplant Parmesan, and chicken fiore. They were all well made and reasonably priced. Our server was delightful and very accommodating - we had our young daughter with us and our server brought her a high chair and her own special drink. We will definitely go back!
